The Spring 2026 issue of The Algerian, the official newsletter of Algeria Shriners International, is now available.
Illustrious Sir Jason Ulrich kicks off the issue with a message from the North, highlighting the most important event on the calendar: the Spring Ceremonial, May 15–17, 2026, at the Algeria Shrine Temple in Helena. Whether you're a longtime Noble or relatively new to the fraternity, this is the weekend to be there — new members joining, old friendships renewed, and the traditions of Algeria honored.
This edition is packed with things you won't want to miss:
East/West Shrine Game Appreciation Dinners — Several Algeria clubs across Montana are hosting dinners to recognize the players and cheerleaders selected for the 2026 East/West Shrine Football Game, scheduled for June 20 at Naranche Stadium in Butte. Check the newsletter for dates, locations, and contacts in your area.
50/100 Club — Pay It Forward — The Havre Rat Patrol kicked things off with a $500 donation in the name of the Tri-County Shrine Club. The challenge is on — can your club match it?
New Chief of Staff at Shriners Children's Spokane — Dr. Ted C. Sousa, a board-certified pediatric orthopedic surgeon and western Montana native, has been appointed Chief of Staff. A great story about the kind of people carrying forward our mission.
Notes from the Office — If you haven't received your new 2026 dues card, call the office (406.442.5305). Also, update your contact info so you don't miss a thing.
The full newsletter — including the Spring Ceremonial registration form, schedule of events, the Fundraiser Permission form, and the Petition for Membership — is included in this edition and available on the website.
Note: The Algerian will no longer be mailed. It will be distributed by email and through our site, exclusively. However, if you know somebody who would still like a printed copy, feel free to print a copy for them or call the office.
Es Selamu Aleikum.
