The Summer 2026 edition of The Algerian is here — and it's packed with everything that made this year one to remember, plus a big preview of what's coming this fall. Grab a copy (it's attached at the bottom of this post) and here's a taste of what's inside.

A Fez-Filled Year for Potentate Jason Ulrich

Illustrious Sir Jason Ulrich opens the issue reflecting on a whirlwind year in the red fez — from the Montana East-West Shrine Football Game in Butte, where players, cheerleaders, and fans came together for Shriners Children's, to the Imperial Session in Tampa, where Nobles from around the world traded stories and fellowship in the summer heat. His message to the Nobility: stay involved, bring a friend, and keep the momentum going.

High Line Hospitality: East-West Appreciation Dinners

Algeria showed up big for the East-West Appreciation Dinners in Malta and Glasgow, honoring players, cheer squad members, and volunteers from the Shrine Football program with dinners, certificates, and plenty of red-fez fanfare.

Summer Parade Fun in Townsend

The Gallatin Shrine Clowns rolled through Townsend, MT in classic form, with the Algeria float turning heads downtown. UB President Noble Ted Leckner and Sapphira Temple Queen Carynn led the way — proof that Shrine parade season never disappoints.

Behind the Scenes: Red Room & Treasury Updates

The Red Room has been buzzing, with catering revenue supporting both the Divan and the Uniformed Bodies — and the bar is open every Friday from 5–6 PM for fellowship. Meanwhile, Treasurer Michael Allen reports the Temple's books are in good order heading into fall, with dues invoicing right around the corner.

Save the Date: Fall Ceremonial, September 11–13

Mark your calendars — the Fall Ceremonial heads to Malta, Montana, Friday through Sunday, September 11–13. The weekend includes a Friday mixer and candidate meet-and-greet, Saturday's parade, sections, luncheon, a Ladies' tour of the Historic Robinson House, and a banquet featuring prime rib. Sunday wraps up with Gin Fizzes and breakfast at the Malta Event Center. Registration details are in the newsletter — and don't wait too long to book a room, since Malta hotels fill up fast with hunting season on the horizon.

31 Guns, 31 Days, One Great October

The 31-Day Gun Raffle returns for October 2026, with a firearm a day worth over $18,900 in total prizes — from a Browning 30-06 Springfield to a Weatherby Vanguard 300 Win. Tickets are $50 each, only 1,000 are printed, and winners need not be present. Contact any Algeria Temple Divan member or call the office to grab yours before they're gone.
